Monday Morning in the Kitchen: Crispy Baked Onion Rings

I subscribe to a farm-share delivery service, which means that every week I can pick up a box of fresh, organic produce.  I try to plan my meals around what I find in the box.  Recently, one of the items I found was a huge yellow onion.   It was perfect for making onion rings.  Fortunately, also in the box was a recipe for Crispy Baked Onion Rings. I'm not a huge fan of onions, but these onion rings were pretty yummy, if I do say so myself! 

Do you enjoy onions?  How do you use them?

    I'm not a big fan of onions, either, but onion rings? That's a different story! Those look yummy!

      I hadn't realized onion rings could be baked, but it makes sense.

    I love onions, but I don't use them often. I add them to other recipes - pretty boring, right?

    We also subscribe to a CSA box (Community Supported Agriculture) box. We choose to only get ours every other week and I love that they deliver it to my front porch during the middle of the night! It just sits out there where it is cool until I get up. Ours often comes with recipes, too! I love it!

    Oooo I love this onion rings and now baked even better!
    I also love them on the grill . I put a whole onion in foil with lots of butter and thow it on the bbq pit. when the meat is done so is the onion .. I open it and again add more butter and lemon.. awe my mouth is watering.
    can't wait to try those onion rings...

    These look delicious and perfect timing! We have leftover BBQ proteins from the weekend, but I was looking for a good side dish. This is perfect! My husband thanks you, he LOVES onion rings! I never think to make them for some reason. I will now! Pinning and sharing.

We would finish the exercise and he would hit enter (or was it "run"?) and wait expectantly for the green type to appear on the screen. If we were lucky, the whole conversation would occur. Ten Things of Thankful: Oregon Edition, Part 3

  A western bluebird, sitting at the base of a house window, looks inside Thanks (1) to those who have sent well-wishes for my mom's recovery. Her wrist is healing up nicely. I met a friend from high school for lunch this past week. It was so nice to have a chance to visit with her for a couple of hours.
