I mentioned in August that I had a chance to preview an upcoming movie. I'm looking forward to Friday, October 10th, when Meet the Mormons will be released to theaters nationwide. I intend to see it again.
This is not a proselytizing movie; it's not like a Sunday School lesson, and no missionaries will be hanging around the theater. It is an uplifting film highlighting six individuals who are trying to live their lives in a positive way. Each story holds universal appeal, and all proceeds of the film go to the Red Cross. (Years ago, I had an opportunity to hear Gail Halvorsen speak, and I have been fascinated with his story ever since. Learning about his story is reason alone to see the film!)
You can see if the film will be opening in your area, by clicking here. I hope you will come join me in the theaters this weekend!
Do you know a Mormon in real life?
Thanks for good people of all faiths everywhere.
I would like to see the movie, but the chances are slim. So far, it's only going to be playing on the north side of Indy, an hour away from here.ReplyDelete
I'm pretty sure we've talked about my brother and his wife being Mormon.
It is my understanding that after it runs in theaters, it will also be made available online. I don't know if that means Netflix, Youtube, or some other site, but in any case, there should be an opportunity for you to see it at some point.Delete
Yes, I remember that your brother and his wife are Mormon.
Yes! One of the new PTA moms is Mormon as is her entire family. She is awesome and very open to questions about her faith. I've known a few others in my life and I love how family oriented they all are.ReplyDelete
Family is definitely important! :-)Delete
Sounds like an excellent movie definitely something different than all those gory movies they are showing.ReplyDelete
Now, I just need a babysitter.
No gore at all! :-)Delete
It will never play in our little town, but I certainly can support anything that supports the Red Cross!ReplyDelete
I believe it will be on Netflix after its theatrical run.Delete
I haven't heard of that movie yet.. I admit that I've been bugging my resistant daughters to go see the creepy doll movie with me ~ think I might have to bribe them with something.ReplyDelete
Hope that you have a wonderful tuesday
Well, this is nothing like that creepy doll movie, so maybe they'll agree to it! :-)Delete
