Tuesday Time to Tackle: If You Give a Guy Some Storage Shelves

If you give a guy some storage shelves, he's going to want to put them in the garage. 

In order for them to fit in the garage, he'll want to move the freezer.

In order to move the freezer, he'll need to empty the contents.

In order to empty the contents, he'll need to fill the coolers. 
 
In order to get the freezer through the door, he'll need to take the door off the hinges.  

Once the freezer is in its new spot, it will need to be refilled.  The guy will need to bring the coolers back to the freezer. 

He'll put the door back on its hinges.

Once the freezer is in its new spot, and the door is back on its hinges, the guy can start assembling the shelves. 

When the first shelf is put together, the guy will want to put it against the wall.  

When he sees where it needs to go, he'll realize he needs to clear a spot for it. He'll get the dolly and move stuff out of the way.  

When the floor in that spot is clear, he'll put the shelf against the wall.  

He'll want to set up the second shelf.  And chances are, if he wants to set up the second shelf, he's going to want a clear spot to put it in.

    I SOOO identify with this. I get paralyzed just thinking about the logistics to accomplish some of my projects. Thanks for a good chuckle.

    Best spoof on that book I've ever seen! Hilarious. How much of those freezer beef meals did you still have in the freezer? :)

      Oh, thank you! It felt like we still had a whole cow's worth of meals--there was no way that freezer was budging an inch without us first unloading the weight of the food.

    Awesome! Here's a major difference between your mouse and mine; my mouse would have abandoned the whole thing halfway through and there would have shelves in the middle of the floor with all the stuff he was clearing out in heaps around it, and he would be sitting in the living room eating a cookie.

      LOL. We're not completely done with all the organizing, but the shelves are up and the floor is cleaner than it's been in years!

Ten Things of Thankful: Oregon Edition, Part 3

  A western bluebird, sitting at the base of a house window, looks inside Thanks (1) to those who have sent well-wishes for my mom's recovery. Her wrist is healing up nicely. I met a friend from high school for lunch this past week. It was so nice to have a chance to visit with her for a couple of hours. Ten Things of Thankful: I Should Blog More Often

  Tall red poppies bloom against the brick remains of an old homestead A couple of weeks ago, John and I hiked in Alpine, Utah, to see the poppy gardens near the old Lambert homestead. We knew if we waited, we would miss the peak of the flowers. One minute, flowers are blooming, and the next minute, that particular floral show is over until next year.  The Ten Things of Thankful blog hop runs every week, but sometimes I miss the boat and don't get a post composed.
