Mom's Sugar Cookie Recipe
(needs no chilling prior to rolling out)
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and lemon extract. Sift together dry ingredients, then add to the sugar mixture.
Roll out and cut. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

This recipe is very similar to the one I use. Frosted, rolled sugar cookies are by far a favorite of mine.ReplyDelete
