Monday Morning in the Kitchen: Cookie Butter!

Have you tried cookie butter?  Neither had I.  In fact, I didn't even know what it was until I heard someone mention how delicious it is.  In case you are also unfamiliar, let me explain.  Cookie butter is like peanut butter, only gingerbread cookie flavored.  Yum, right?



Our family home evening refreshments tonight consisted of apple slices dipped in cookie butter.  Of course, everyone loved it.  

I received no product nor compensation for this endorsement.  Just wanted to share.  

I've only seen cookie butter at Trader Joe's, so I don't know if it is available elsewhere.  Have you tried Cookie Butter?  What did you think of it?

    I doubt if we've got anything like this in the UK - have you ever seen a grown woman cry over butter? Lol

    I've never seen or heard of this before; of course, there are no Trader Joe's in this area. It sounds tasty.

    My daughter warned me about that stuff! I tasted it at her house -- so good but I refuse to buy it. It would not be safe in my house, I would eat it all!

    I have never heard of it. But, I've never been to Trader Joe's either. :)

Ten Things of Thankful: April Showers Edition

  A red peony bud prepares to open fully  After an incredibly dry winter, we had a bit of precipitation this past week, in the form of falling snow. We didn't have much, and it didn't really stick, but we'll take water however it wants to come. Fortunately, my peonies seem unaffected by the cold snap, and are ready to put on a show here soon. 1. I'm thankful for moisture. 2. I'm thankful the flowers are still going to bloom. I don't know how the colder temperatures will affect the fruit crops. The strawberries look like they are still planning to set fruit. We'll have to see what happens with the peach, apricot, pear, and apple. Tuesday Time to Tackle: DIY Swamp Cooler Pump Replacement

Yesterday morning, despite having the swamp cooler on all night long, we woke up to 81 degree temperatures inside the house.  John went outside to inspect and announced that the swamp cooler pump had stopped working. Fortunately, replacing the pump is a quick and simple do-it-yourself project.
