Twenty-three years ago, fifteen days late, my oldest child made his arrival. "Sleep is for sissies" seemed to be his mantra. I was one tired, tired mommy. Eventually, he slept for five hours straight, and I was a new woman.
He greeted each day with wide, blue, eyes. His curiosity and intelligence kept me on my toes, but being his mom was (and is) a delightful journey.
Here are some photos from his 1st birthday. I know I'm biased, but isn't he a cutie?

Thankful thought: Thanks for my oldest son, who makes me proud!
