stock photo of old computer monitor When I was 10 or 11, I remember sitting next to my dad in our living room and reading computer code to him as he entered it into an Apple computer. We would finish the exercise and he would hit enter (or was it "run"?) and wait expectantly for the green type to appear on the screen. If we were lucky, the whole conversation would occur. Most often, there would be an error either in my dictation of the code, or in the typing of the code. We would then go painstakingly back through the lines, character by character, to find and correct the error. After what seemed like hours (and might have been), we would succeed and the computer would finally run the entire program. It was magical! My dad designed and built an earth-sheltered, passive solar home decades before solar panels were commonplace. He also was on a 9-month waiting list for a Prius, when hybrids were not seen on every street. While my dad is definitely on the cutting edge of technol...
Looks like you had fun with this challenge - love your photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I did have fun.
DeleteYour photos are fabulous! I can see why you wanted to link up to this blog hop. I did link up too. Thanks for letting me know about this challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was just so excited to find some water!
Deletenice images. We have enjoyed a little water here the last day or two.
ReplyDeleteRain is wonderful!
DeleteNice photos! I too visited a theme park close to me, not as special as Disneyland though. They all came out pretty cool too! I like the spiderweb picture, it came out very cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Disneyland is a special place, but I enjoy other theme parks, too.
DeleteHa, yeah, I heard you guys got some rain in California! Very clever to ask for a snow theme - let's see what happens :-)
ReplyDeleteToo bad you had through all the trouble of visiting Disneyland to take those cool shots!
Well, you know, anything for a good photo. :-)
DeleteThese are SO GOOD. I especially love the spider web one - that is excellent! And the castle in the water is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWhat great shots! The water droplets on the spider web is really interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter pointed it out to me, and we stopped so I could take the shot.
DeleteKristi your photos are wonderful! Sure do wish we could get some much needed rain here.I think you got rain when we didn't the last time. We were supposed to but it just didn't get this far south. thanks for sharing your pictures! They inspire me.
ReplyDeleteHaven't visited a Disney theme park in years and your peeks at some easy-to-overlook details have me thinking about a return visit now that I'm into photography. I especially like the reflection of the castle and the water drops on the spider's web - that one's a tough shot to get properly in focus (yes, the voice of unsuccessful experience :-) ). Hope your December wish comes true.
