Photo Blogging Challenge ( #Photoblogchal ) for October: Water

It's been awhile, but I wanted to join in again this month with A 'lil Hoohaa's photo blogging challenge.  It was the theme that captured my attention:  water.  Oh, how I miss water!  Living in the desert, this challenge was really a challenge.  Where could I find water? Water is almost imaginary here, so I headed toward the lands of imagination:  theme parks!

Even though I traveled a bit to find water, I should have been patient.  On Friday the 28th, we had rain!  (Hey, PJ--can you please choose "Snow" in December?  I'd like to place an order for a white Christmas!)

    Nice photos! I too visited a theme park close to me, not as special as Disneyland though. They all came out pretty cool too! I like the spiderweb picture, it came out very cool.

      Thank you. Disneyland is a special place, but I enjoy other theme parks, too.

    Ha, yeah, I heard you guys got some rain in California! Very clever to ask for a snow theme - let's see what happens :-)
    Too bad you had through all the trouble of visiting Disneyland to take those cool shots!

    These are SO GOOD. I especially love the spider web one - that is excellent! And the castle in the water is awesome!

    Kristi your photos are wonderful! Sure do wish we could get some much needed rain here.I think you got rain when we didn't the last time. We were supposed to but it just didn't get this far south. thanks for sharing your pictures! They inspire me.

    Haven't visited a Disney theme park in years and your peeks at some easy-to-overlook details have me thinking about a return visit now that I'm into photography. I especially like the reflection of the castle and the water drops on the spider's web - that one's a tough shot to get properly in focus (yes, the voice of unsuccessful experience :-) ). Hope your December wish comes true.

Ten Things of Thankful: Oregon Edition, Part 3

  A western bluebird, sitting at the base of a house window, looks inside Thanks (1) to those who have sent well-wishes for my mom's recovery. Her wrist is healing up nicely. I met a friend from high school for lunch this past week. It was so nice to have a chance to visit with her for a couple of hours. She is one of those friends who it doesn't matter how much time has passed, we can pick right back up into meaningful conversations. Monday Mentions: Equate Crutches

Have you ever needed crutches? I hadn't, until a week ago.  I'm pretty sure I strained a muscle while running a half-marathon.  (That sounds kind of cool, doesn't it? I'm not actually that cool; the last time I strained a muscle it was from carrying too many shopping bags at once.) In any case, I found myself in need of some crutches. I sent my husband to the store to get some.
