On this sobering anniversary day, I appreciated this video celebrating the strength of the American spirit. Beautiful music, touching video, and tender commentary lend a calming, peaceful feeling to this September day.
Thanks for the many examples of kindness that come during difficult times.
It is interesting to see this day through the eyes of students like my Granddaughter who weren't here when it happened. They've seen videos on Youtube but are shocked that WE actually remember seeing it live on TV.
I think you know that my husband's job is very much related to all of this, and, in fact, he worked until midnight last night... I can't write about it but I'm so glad that you shared this today. We must always remember to be better, to do better, and to teach better. <3
Conversations are so much nicer when more than one person does the talking. :-) Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts; I'd love to hear from you!
Thank you it is a sad day indeed - I will check the video when I get home tonight -
ReplyDelete9-11-01 was such a shocking day. It's nice to be reminded of the examples of goodness that were demonstrated amidst such horror.

ReplyDeleteYes. Kind of like those of us who have seen footage of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, but were not alive at the time.
