A western bluebird, sitting at the base of a house window, looks inside Thanks (1) to those who have sent well-wishes for my mom's recovery. Her wrist is healing up nicely. I met a friend from high school for lunch this past week. It was so nice to have a chance to visit with her for a couple of hours. She is one of those friends who it doesn't matter how much time has passed, we can pick right back up into meaningful conversations. Lunch ended all too soon, but I'm so thankful (2) for her, and I'm thankful (3) that she reminded me of the importance of reaching out to others. Living life with a thankful heart

Enough time has passed that I had almost forgotten about those hairless cats. Yup, still creepy looking. :). Let me know if you ever want to take me up on that offer of a dog fur wig.
ReplyDeleteI've got enough cat hair at my house to provide a luxurious cat fur wig. Full body.
DeleteWell, if you really have so much time on your hands that you're now in the wig-making business. . .

ReplyDeleteLeela is my oldest daughter's cat, and I'm staying with my daughter this week while I'm attending Brigham Young University's Education Week. My daughter suggested I take a photo of Leela being bathed.
DeleteI love the idea of a dog fur wig! I realize they are very sweet animals and we shouldn't judge by appearances but I can't help it -- I like my kitties to have fur! But then the idea of bathing either of my cats -- now that is funny!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how patient my daughter's cat is! She gets a weekly bath, then gets her ears cleaned out and her nails cleaned and trimmed. By the last paw, she starts twitching her tail pretty hard, but she never tries to scratch or bite. Her personality has won me over, but I will agree that she isn't the most attractive cat in the world.
