An antique typewriter Each week, Denise at Girlie on the Edge blog posts a prompt word and invites bloggers to come up with a Six Sentence Story. It's a fun challenge for writers, and a delight for readers. Go over to her blog to read what others have written, and feel free to post your own story, too! This week's prompt: twist. ********************************* The kids who moved in next door were big kids--much older than her 3-year-old self--but they might be fun to play with, and as they were coming towards her, the idea of them being new friends seemed at least possible. She was rather shy, but she understood the basics of making friends, so when those neighbors crowded all around her and asked her what her name was, she didn't hesitate to answer. Living life with a thankful heart

Enough time has passed that I had almost forgotten about those hairless cats. Yup, still creepy looking. :). Let me know if you ever want to take me up on that offer of a dog fur wig.
ReplyDeleteI've got enough cat hair at my house to provide a luxurious cat fur wig. Full body.
DeleteWell, if you really have so much time on your hands that you're now in the wig-making business. . .
DeleteIs this YOUR cat? Why have I never known about this cat before?! He needs a pirate eye patch.
ReplyDeleteLeela is my oldest daughter's cat, and I'm staying with my daughter this week while I'm attending Brigham Young University's Education Week. My daughter suggested I take a photo of Leela being bathed.
DeleteI love the idea of a dog fur wig! I realize they are very sweet animals and we shouldn't judge by appearances but I can't help it -- I like my kitties to have fur! But then the idea of bathing either of my cats -- now that is funny!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how patient my daughter's cat is! She gets a weekly bath, then gets her ears cleaned out and her nails cleaned and trimmed. By the last paw, she starts twitching her tail pretty hard, but she never tries to scratch or bite. Her personality has won me over, but I will agree that she isn't the most attractive cat in the world.
