I love light summer desserts. (I really could skip the two modifiers in that sentence, but since this post contains a recipe for a light summer dessert, I'll keep it as is.) Berries, angel food cake, and whipped cream combine to make a delicious, patriotically-colored trifle.
Thanks for freedom and raspberries.

Red, White and Blue Trifle
Cube a angel food cake. (I used a 8 x 4 inch loaf.) Whip 1 cup of heavy whipping cream. Wash blueberries and raspberries (at least one pint of each.) In a trifle dish or bowl, layer cake, berries, and cream. Repeat layers until dish is full. Refrigerate if you can; otherwise, enjoy immediately.
Thanks for freedom and raspberries.

One of my favorite summer treats!
ReplyDeleteTrifles are my favorite dessert. I usually add pudding to the trifle but that adds calories. LOL Love the presentation of this one...very patriotic!
