I've been toying for some time now with the idea of creating a blog, and finally decided to take the plunge. I might mention a book I've read, but I don't anticipate any deep insights worthy of a book club discussion. I might report on a new recipe or two along the way, but I'm not systematically making my way through a particular cookbook in a year's time. Crafts? If I ever finish knitting the creche I've been working on for years, I will certainly let you know. I love my family, my basset hound, homeschooling, gardening, family history, traveling, music, and Disneyland, and I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This blog will be a little of this and a little of that. I'm a dabble blogger! Feel free to follow along if your interests are as scattered as mine. :-)
Have you ever needed crutches? I hadn't, until a week ago. I'm pretty sure I strained a muscle while running a half-marathon. (That sounds kind of cool, doesn't it? I'm not actually that cool; the last time I strained a muscle it was from carrying too many shopping bags at once.) In any case, I found myself in need of some crutches. I sent my husband to the store to get some. I shouldn't have worried. John came home from Walmart with their generic store brand of crutches, complete with instructions. First, I needed to take out a long bolt that went through the hand grip. Then I needed to find my height range, push down two metal pieces, and slide the crutches until the little metal pieces came up in the hole near my height range. (Having two people for this...
Maybe one of these days I'll venture into blogging too. I've got such great examples to follow:)
