Monday Morning in the Kitchen: Ambrosia

Grandma would always bring her wonderful fruit salad to our house every Thanksgiving.  Though we called it a fruit salad, we should have called it a dessert. 

As an adult, I learned that it is often called "ambrosia"--the food of the gods.  No matter what you call it, I think Shakespeare would have agreed that ambrosia by any other name tastes just as sweet.  


 Ambrosia

In a large salad bowl, gently stir to combine 2 cans of pineapple chunks (drained), 2 cans of mandarin oranges or tropical fruit or fruit cocktail (drained), 2 cups coconut, 2 cups marshmallows, and 2 cups sour cream.
